Someone might say that we are a beer museum, an interactive multimedia gallery, or a beer attraction. But we are Pilsner Urquell: The Original Beer Experience – a unique experiential exhibition where we use the latest technologies to tell the fascinating story of one of our national treasures – the world's first golden lager.

THE CONCEPT

What is the Experience? The concept combines storytelling with immersive modern technologies, beer tasting, and entertainment. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff members ensure that every visitor has a wonderful time spent in good company, no matter their background. Our Experiences

Experience Pilsner Urquell through all senses

THE MUST-DO ACTIVITY IN PRAGUE!

In three floors of a newly reconstructed historical building in the center of Prague, covering an area of 3500 m², you will find more experiential opportunities than in any beer museum. You can look forward to impressive installations, the latest technologies, interactive elements, and of course, there is also a taproom and a traditional Pilsner pub.

A fun audio guide will take you through the story of beer from its history to the present day, and before you end your tour in the pub where you will enjoy a perfectly poured Pilsner on us, you can have fun in the 360° gaming room. In the Taproom School, masters of their craft will teach you how to pour different styles of Pilsner beer, such as hladinka, šnyt, and mlíko, and you will learn how to recognize good beer at a glance. After completing the course, you will receive a certificate and a special gift! And if you want to take home more than just great memories, we recommend visiting our branded store on the ground floor.

UNIQUE LOCATION

The Pilsner Urquell Experience is conveniently situated at the heart of Prague, right at the lower end of Wenceslas Square.

It spreads over three floors of a stunning heritage-protected art-nouveau building, originally constructed as a bank back in 1902. The combination of beautiful decorations, including ornate ceilings, and state-of-the-art technology offers visitors a unique and breathtaking view.

Meet the beer that changed the world

Deep inside the cellars of our brewery in Plzeň, Czech Republic, we make sure that every Pilsner Urquell drop tastes as unique as it did in 1842. We proudly continue the heritage of Josef Groll, the original brewmaster who introduced the world to the first golden “Pilsner” lager and changed beer forever. Today, Pilsner beers account for 70% of the world's produce, but there is only one ORIGINAL, and that is Pilsner Urquell.
